Private Encounters
If you are looking for something extra entertaining, informative and exclusive, we also have some new and exciting private experiences with other birds to offer. For not much more than a typical donation to help our life-saving rescue work, these additional experiences can include:
A Few Special Owls
a close up interpretive meet & greet, and photo-encounter with some very special owls, not available for handling/photos to our regular admission visitors. These can include Barn Owl, Great Grey Owl, a Saw Whet Owl, (1 hour) Extra Cost for up to 6 people $200/total. This is our most popular choice with visitors.
Raptor Day
Active since 1982, the Alberta Birds of Prey Foundation is Alberta's first privately licensed raptor rescue and conservation organization. We are located in Coaldale, Alberta in the heart of Canada's wild prairies.
Hawk Walk
Our facility is a working conservation centre featuring the hawks, falcons, eagles and owls of Alberta. Our Centre has been called a must-see attraction delighting visitors from around the world. When you visit, we guarantee you will have an unforgettably wild experience!
Eagle Encounter
Hold a Golden Eagle on your arm for a once-in-lifetime cool photo. $100 per person who wants to hold the eagle.
(additional individuals in your group who want to hold the same eagle are $75 each.)
